OPERATION
Central ventilation unit – KWL 170 W/W ET
7.1

Operating options

7.1.1 Local web server

The unit can be configured via the local web server using a web browser, via a mobile end device (e.g. notebook, PC,
tablet, smartphone). A unit login/registration is not required.
Set up local web server:
1. Connect unit to the router or directly to a notebook/PC via an Ethernet cable RJ45 (not included in delivery).
2. Open desktop and click on Network, cf. Fig. 45.
3. Double-click on the corresponding unit, cf. Fig. 45.
> The easyControls 3.0 controls open automatically via the web server in the web browser.
4. Configure unit settings, see chapter 7.2 „Unit settings via easyControls 3.0", page 24.
ⓘ In order to operate the unit, the commissioning assistant must be complete, see chapter 6.2 „Run commissio-
ning assistant", page 18.

7.1.2 easyControls cloud service

Authorised users, service technicians or housing association can change external unit settings or call up status informa-
tion via the easyControls cloud service at any time.
Logging on with a username and password is required for using the easyControls cloud service.

7.1.3 Control element

The operating or control options for the KWL
(accessories) or the comfort control element KWL-BE Touch (accessories).
The installation, commissioning and detailed functional description can be found in the installation and operating inst-
ructions for the corresponding control element.

7.1.4 Building control system

The KWL unit can be integrated in a building control system network via the standard Modbus interface (RS 485) or an

optionally available KNX module KWL-KNX Connect (accessories).

Unit settings via easyControls 3.0

easyControls 3.0 is the software for the smart and comfortable operation of the KWL
Settings can be configured in the following areas:
• Homepage (see chapter 7.2.1 „Homepage", page 24)
• Unit data (see chapter 7.2.2 „Unit data", page 26)
• Service menu (see chapter 7.2.3 „Service menu", page 26)
• Settings (see chapter 7.2.4 „Settings", page 27)
• Configuration (see chapter 7.2.5 „Configuration", page 27)
