3.7 - INLET VALVE
The nasal irrigator features a inlet valve (5c) which should be cleaned when dirty; it is
housed under the lid located on the bottom of the irrigator compressor body (fig. G).
To clean the valve first remove the lid (by levering with a biro and holding down the
other side of the lid) and then the valve; finally wash the valve in water and detergent.
Before reassembling, make sure that the valve is completely dry.
4. Important cautionary notes
Like all electrical appliances, especially where children are concerned, Rhino Clear Mobile requires a number of basic
precautions.
4.1
- Before using the device for the first time and periodically during the product's life, check the integrity of its structure
and of the power cable, making sure that there is no damage; if it is damaged, do not insert the plug and take the
product immediately to an authorised technical assistance centre or to your local dealer.
4.2
- Do not allow the nasal irrigator to be used as a toy. Careful attention is necessary when used by or near children.
4.3
- Children and disabled persons should always use the nasal irrigator under strict supervision of an adult who has
read this manual.
4.4
- Some components of the device are small enough to be swallowed by children and can cause suffocation; store the
device out of the reach of children.
4.5
- Never use adaptors for power supplies different from the one indicated on the recharger base of the nasal irrigator
(plate details). Keep the cord away from heated surfaces
4.6
- Keep the power supply cord away from animals (for example rodents) as they may damage the insulation of the
power supply cord.
4.7
- The unit should not be used in the presence of inflammable anaesthetic mixtures containing oxygen or nitrous
oxide.
4.8
- Do not handle the recharger base plug with wet hands. Never submerge the recharger base in water; should this
occur accidentally, unplug it immediately. Do not touch the unit under water before pulling out the plug. Take the
unit immediately to an authorised service centre or your dealer.
4.9
- Never wash the irrigator compressor body under running water or by soaking. Do not use the nasal irrigator when
taking a bath or shower.
4.10 - Servicing may be performed by authorised personnel only. Unauthorised repairs will invalidate the warranty and
may represent a hazard to the user.
4.11 - Warning: if batteries need replacing take the unit to an authorised service centre.
4.12 - The Manufacturer, the Retailer and the Importer are responsible for safety, reliability and performance only if: a) the
unit is used in accordance with the operating instructions; b) the electrical system of the premises where the unit is
used is in conformity with current laws.
4.13 - The manufacturer should be contacted for reporting problems and/or unexpected events related to device
operation.
4.14 - Microbial contamination: personal use of the nasal irrigator and the accessories is recommended in order to avoid
any risks of infection.
4.15 - Interactions: the materials used have undergone extensive biocompatibility tests (ISO 10993-5 and ISO 10993-10)
in compliance with the essential requirements set forth in the European Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC.
4.16 - Carry out the cleaning procedures after every application for maximum hygiene, to obtain optimal performance
and extend the life of your unit.
4.17 - Do not obstruct the inlet valve on the bottom of the irrigator compressor body; never insert any object into its lid.
