Channel Timer Call ©
¢When the channel/timer call button is
pressed when the OffTimer is not set, the
channel programme number will be dis-
played in the upper right corner of the
screen.
The channel programme number display
can also be erased by pressing this button
again. .
e if the Offtimer had been set before the
channel/timer call button is pressed, then
the remaining time will be displayed in
minutes to the left of the channel
programme number on the screen. For ex-
ample, '© 23M Pri4/CH21" will be dis-
played 23 minutes before turn-off.
Note:
The On Screen Display automatically ap-
pears for about 3 seconds under the following
conditions:
1. Certain buttons on the TV or the remote
control transmitter are pressed.
2. The TV receives stereo or bilingual televi-
sion signals.
3. The TV receives slow switch signals
through the 21-pin Euro-SCART.
TV/VIDEO Selector
When you press the TV/VIDEO selector, the
TV receives the Audio/Video signals through
the 21-pin AV terminal, and "AV" (Au-
dio/Video indicator) will be displayed for
about 3 seconds in the upper corner of the
screen. When the TV/VIDEO selector is
pressed again, the set is switched to receive
on-air TV broadcasting, and the channel
programme number will be displayed for
about 3 seconds in the upper right corner of
the screen.
Note:
When signals are received through the 21-pin
Fuca the indication appears as illus-
trated.
Preset button 5»
This button will set the TV in the real channel
presetting mode.
Memory button ©
This button must be pressed when complet-
ing the channel preset procedure, i.e., if not
pressed, channel preset cannot be done.
Skip button ¢
Used to specify the channels to be skipped
when selecting a channel using the channel
selectors (A/V).
Protect button
Used with the channel preset/memory,
channel skip, or fine tuning button to prevent
operation error.
Pr/CH/CC button
Pressing the Pr/CH/CC button changes the
display from VHF/UHF real channel (CH) to
CATV Channel (CC) and then to the
programme channel. See "4. Channel Dis-
plays" under '"'How to Adjust the Channel
Setting."
Single/Double entry button —/--
This button enables one or two digit entry
when selecting the programme channel. For
one digit entry, select "'Pr-" (displayed on the
screen, by pressing this button. For two digit
entry, select ''Pr--"'
TELETEXT Mode
Text/Mix button &/@
When the Text/Mix button is pressed the
first time, the initial position of a Teletext
broadcast will be displayed on the screen.
When the Text/Mix button is pressed the
second time, a Teletext broadcast will be
superimposed on the TV programme.
Press the button again to return to Teletext
broadcasting only.
Note:
'Initial position' indicates the last number
memorized in the red brackets.
Top/Bottom/Full button E¥
eWhen the Top/Bottom/Full button is
pressed the first time, the top half of the
Teletext page will be magnified and dis-
played on the screen.
eWhen the Top/Bottom/Full button is
pressed the second time, the bottom half of
the Teletext page will be magnified and dis-
played on the screen.
eWhen the Top/Bottom/Full button is
pressed the third time, the Bottom mode
will be cancelled and the full Teletext page
will appear on the screen. Press the button
again to return to the Top mode.
Picture button ()
¢ When the Picture button is pressed in the
Text or Mix mode, the mode will be
changed to an ordinary TV programme
screen. Press the Text/Mix button again to
return to the Teletext page previously dis-
played on the screen.
Hold button &3)
¢Any Teletext page can be held on the
screen by pressing the Hold button when
watching a Teletext broadcast. Press the
button again to cancel the hold mode.
Reveal button ©)
e When the Reveal button is pressed the first
time, any hidden information such as the
answer to a quiz will be revealed on the
screen.
¢ When the Reveal button is pressed the se-
cond time, the information will disappear.
Press the button again to reveal the infor-
mation.
Time button Ge /Cancel button Ex
When timer setting is required for some
Teletext page, press the Time button, and
then input the time as required. Press the
Cancel button to return to an ordinary TV
programme.
When the Time button is pressed while view-
ing a TV programme, the current time ap-
pears on the screen for approximately 6
seconds.
Notes:
1. When the Time button is pressed again af-
ter timer setting, the timer setting will be
cancelled.
. The Teletext page must have timer setting
signals transmitted from the Teletext
broadcasting station.
Reset button ED)
When the Reset button is pressed in Teletext
mode, previously set Teletext functions such
as page memory or time coded page will be
reset and an ordinary TV programme will ap-
pear while the Teletext decoder is set up to
display the initial position of a Teletext
broadcast.
Store buttons &5)
First input the desired Teletext page number
into the red, green, yellow, and/or cyan
brackets, then press this button for a second.
The brackets will change to white for a se-
cond, then will change back to the original
colour. The page numbers are now stored in
the corresponding page memories.
Page Selector buttons (A/V)
These buttons (A/V) allow sequential selec-
tion of pages.
Note:
When you wish to directly input 3 digits, use
the 0-9 digit buttons.
Index button Ed
Used to recall the page you stored yourself.
Pressing this button displays the page num-
ber which was last stored in the red brackets.
Coloured buttons (Red, Green, Yel-
low, Cyan) ==)
When any of these coloured buttons is
pressed, the brackets move to the position
that corresponds to the pressed button,
where you can input the page number you
want to store.
