Hose and Regulator
Assembly
Propane Gas Heaters
1. Apply a small amount of pipe thread sealant to the
threads of the rigid hose connections.
2. Connect one end of the rigid connection to the regula-
tor outlet. See Fig. 2.
3. Connect the other rigid end connection to the female
quick connect. See Fig. 2.
FIG. 2
4. Connect the end of the hose with the quick connect
to the gas valve male quick connector adapter of the
heater. See Fig. 3.

Gas Supply
Propane Gas Heaters
1. Remove protective cap from POL fitting. Do not
discard cap. Position regulator as shown to protect
its vent, or install protective cover over the regula-
tor and cylinder valve.
2. Insert POL fitting into propane supply valve. See
Fig. 4. Thread nut on fitting counterclockwise into
propane supply valve. Tighten nut securely with a
wrench.
-- When storing or transporting the heater, ensure the
cap is pushed onto the POL fitting to prevent
damage or dirt entry into regulator.

Natural Gas Heater
-- Connect the appropriate gas supply line to the inlet
of the heater.
-- The gas control valve of the heater takes an inlet
pressure of 13.5 In. W.C. (3.36 kPa) maximum or a
minimum inlet pressure of 13.5 In. W.C. (3.32 kPa).
For inlet pressures exceeding 13.5
In. W.C. (3.36 kPa), a regulator will be
needed upstream of the heater's
regulator to reduce the higher pressure
to the required inlet pressure.
