Disposal
Should your appliance need replacement after
extended use, do not dispose of it with the
household refuse, but in an environmentally safe
way.
Waste produced by electrical machine
items should not be handled like normal
household rubbish. Please recycle where
recycle facilities exist. Check with your local
authority or retailer for recycling advice.
Always dispose of your battery pack according
to federal, state, provincial and local regulations.
Contact a recycling agency in your area for recycling
locations.
CAUTION! Even discharged battery packs
contain some energy. Before disposing, use
electrical tape to cover the terminals to prevent
the battery pack from shorting, which could cause
a fi re or explosion.
WARNING! To reduce the risk of injury or
explosion, never burn or incinerate a battery
pack even if it is damaged, dead, or completely
discharged. When burned, toxic fumes and
materials are emitted into the surrounding
atmosphere.
1. Batteries vary according to device. Consult
your manual for specifi c information.
2. Install only new batteries of the same type in
your product (where applicable).
3. Failure to insert batteries in the correct
polarity, as indicated in the battery
compartment or manual, may shorten the life
of the batteries or cause batteries to leak.
4. Do not mix old and new batteries.
5. Do not mix Alkaline, Standard (Carbon-Zinc),
or Rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium, Nickel
Metal Hydride, or Lithium-Ion) batteries.
6. Do not dispose of batteries in fi re.
7. Batteries should be recycled or disposed of
as per state, provincial and local guidelines.
When shipping or disposing of batteries and
cordless tools, always ensure that they are
packed individually in plastic bags to prevent
short circuits and fi res.

Immediately disconnect the device from the
power supply (pull the plug and remove the
battery pack) if:
Liquid or objects get into the inside of the lid

The device is exposed to rain, moisture or
liquids
The device is not working correctly
The device has been dropped or is damaged
Smoke develops or the device makes an
unusual noise or smell. The cooler/warmer
box cannot be used again until it is inspected
by a professional. Never inhale smoke from
a burning device. Seek medical attention
if you have inhaled smoke. Smoke may be
hazardous to your health.
Secure the device against slipping during
vehicle transportation. Do not transport the
device in the passenger cab, but rather in the
trunk of the vehicle.
Danger of an accident. Arrange the power
cable so that no one can trip over it, and so
that it does not disturb the driver while driving.
Do not use the power cable for a purpose for
which it is not designed, for example to carry
the electric tool, to hang it up or to pull the
plug out of the socket. Keep the power cable
away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving
parts.
Do not bend the power cable or place any
objects on top of it.
Fire hazard. Do not expose the device to
excessive temperatures or open flames.
Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or
heat sources.
Do not operate the device in the vicinity of
water, never submerge it.
Keep the device away from moisture, rain or
wet conditions. The penetration of water into a
device increases the risk of an electric shock.
Never fill the device with liquids or ice. Only
place packaged food and drinks inside the
container.
Do not expose the device to excessive
vibration, shocks or blows.
Do not let any foreign objects get into the
device through the ventilation slits.
Danger of overheating. Always keep the
ventilation slits free, do not cover or block
them, and do not insert anything into them.
Always leave a sufficient distance between
the device and walls or objects, so that the air
can circulate freely.
Do not use any adapter plugs or extension
cords.
Risk of electric shock. Keep the power cable
dry. Do not touch it with wet hands.
When disconnecting from the power supply:
Hold onto the plug and do not pull on the
cable.
