BRINE REGULATOR ADJUSTMENT
Remove the regulator from the brine well located in the brine tank.
Check that dimension 'X' is set according to the values in the table below
by sliding the float on the regulator rod.

PREPARING THE SALT TANK
Load the tank with salt. Do not exceed the top of the chimney, leaving the brine regulator accessible. Ensure
that the floor of the tank is properly positioned on any supports.
IMPORTANT:
It is essential to visually monitor the interior of the salt tank. Occasionally, a coating of
salt may give the false impression that the salt has been filled correctly. Regularly check that the salt
on top has not become caked.
CONNECTION TO THE MAINS WATER SUPPLY
With the bypass closed, start a regeneration by pressing the OK button on the electronic unit.
Slowly open a distribution valve downstream of the softener to allow the air contained in the installation
to be purged.
Once the air has been purged, open the valve all the way.
Also purge the brine regulator by pushing on the float road (hold the rod at the bottom). Replace it in the brine
well of the salt tank and replace the brine well cap.
Leave the softener regenerating.
Once regeneration is complete, check the equipment seals.
Monitor the TH hardness and chloride content of the softened water, which must not be higher than the inlet
water.
If necessary, adjust the TH adjustment valve to obtain the desired residual hardness.
NOTE:
It is the user's responsibility to define the residual hardness compatible with the systems and
units installed downstream.
RESIN CLEANING, AQACLEAN CT IMPLEMENTATION (OPTION)
Various types of water-borne contamination can reduce the exchange capacity of the softener resin by up to
50% and halve the service life of your equipment. Bacteria, dirt, organic materials and minerals are all foreign
bodies that can accumulate on the resin and prevent it operating properly. To keep the resin clean, achieve
better quality water and increase the protection of your softener, BWT has developed the AQA Clean CT kit
code P0004895 (follow the usage instructions delivered with the AQA Clean CT kit).
