A practical way to mount the stand (8) is to place the tower fan (1) on a
horizontal surface (e.g. table) and mount the stand (8) from the side. This
procedure facilitates the passage of the mains cable (13) and the guidance of
the locking catches (14) into the recesses provided.
Be sure to place a blanket or similar cushioning material between the shelf and
the tower fan (1) to protect it from scratches during assembly.
First guide the power cable (13) through the stand (8). Then align the stand (8) so with the
tower fan (1) that the 4 locking catches (14) fit into the corresponding slots on the stand
(8). In addition, the plastic lug on the bottom of the tower fan (1) must engage in the recess
(arrow) on the front half (9) of the stand (8). Next apply some pressure onto the stand (8)
so you can hear the locking catches (14) click in place.

Always lay the power cord (13) under the stand (8), as shown in the following
diagram:
