Mounting the Wall Timer:
1. Insert the wall timer/bracket by turning and inserting it
into the switch box housing and secure with the supplied
mounting screws. (Fig. 5)
2. Remove the protective film from the trim. Peel off the liner
from the back of the gasket and apply it to the front of the
trim. Press the gasket firmly in place.
note:
• The timer can alternatively be installed (without switch box housing) in an area of the home/location that is entirely
covered/protected from the elements.
Battery Life:
The life expectancy of the alkaline batteries in the wall timer
should be about 12 months. Check and replace all batteries
annually. When the indicator light on the face of the wall
timer becomes dim or does not illuminate when a button is
pressed, or if the timer does not function at all, the batteries
should be checked.
The wall transmitter should operate with as little as 2.4
volts of battery power, measuring each of the 3-volt button
cell batteries individually. The length of wire between the
remote receiver and gas valve directly affects the operating
performance of the remote system. The longer the wire, the
more battery power is required to deliver signals between the
remote receiver and the gas valve. The recommended length
of wire is no longer than 30 feet.

3. Align the gasketed trim, switch plate, and flip cover.
Secure to the housing with the supplied screws. If
applicable, the tabs on the switch box housing can be
bent to better accommodate installation. Secure the
mounting screws tightly and ensure that there are no
visible gaps between switch box housing, trim, or flip
cover. This will ensure a tight seal and prevent water from
entering the switch box housing. (Fig. 6)

Trouble Shooting:
If you encounter problems with your fireplace system, it
may be with the appliance itself, or it could be with the wall
timer. Review the appliance installation manual to ensure all
connections are properly in place. Then check the operation
of the wall timer as follows:
• Ensure the batteries are installed correctly, a reversed
battery prevent the control from functioning properly.
• Verify the batteries are fully charged. Replace the batteries
if they measure less than 2.4 volts per battery.
• Ensure the wires connected to the back of the timer have
not become loose, they need to be firmly connected.
• Ensure the wires connected to the back of the timer are
not touching each other or another bare metal surface, this
will cause the appliance to turn ON. The wires should be
stripped 0.25" (6.4mm) to prevent this.
