Battery Installation/Removal:

1. Remove the timer faceplate from the backing plate by
inserting a small screwdriver into the top or bottom slot
located on the side of the timer faceplate, pop it up, and
slide it off. (Fig. 2)
2. Locate the two 3V button cell battery holders.
3. Remove batteries - Insert a small screwdriver into the slots
at the bottom of each 3V button cell battery and pop them
out of the holders. (Fig. 3 A)
Wiring:
The wall timer should be installed by a qualified electrician or gas technician that is
familiar the gas appliance and gas valves operated by this timer.
1. Remove the screws holding the
switch plate and switch plate trim to
the switch box housing.
note:
Strip all wires to be connected to the wall timer to a length of 0.25" (6.4 mm).
Too much exposed wire can result in a short circuit that could cause the
appliance burner to accidently turn on.
4. Insert the 2 wires previously
connected to the manual ON/OFF
switch into the block terminals on
the back of the wall timer. The wires
must be inserted from the bottom of
the block terminal, but the orientation
of the wires is not critical. (Fig. 4 A)
Perform a system check:
• Press one of the timer buttons - 30 MIN, 60 MIN, or
120 MIN. The spark electrode should ignite the pilot.
After the pilot ignites, the main gas valve should open
and the burner should ignite.

4. Install batteries - Insert the top edge of each battery
under the metal clip and snap them into place. Ensure the
batteries are installed with the plus side ( + ) toward the
timer faceplate. (Fig. 3 B)
5. After the batteries are installed replace the timer faceplate
on the backing plate.

2. Gently pull the existing switch out of
the switch box housing.
3. Disconnect the 2 wires from the
existing switch.
5. Tighten the screw on the back of
the terminal block with a small screw
driver to secure the wires to the
terminal block. (Fig. 4 B)
6. Verify the wires are secure by gently
tugging them.
• Press the OFF button and both the burner and pilot light
should extinguish.
