Applying Grease (Fig. W)
The DCBS681 needs to be greased after every 100 hours
of use.
1. Using a 5 mm hex wrench (not included), remove the
grease port screw
and motor grease port screw

2. Apply a small amount (3-5 grams) of D

into the ports as shown in Fig. W.
3. Reinstall the port screws
wrench (not supplied) to tighten the screws.
Cleaning

WARNING: Blow dirt and dust out of all air vents with
clean, dry air at least once a week. To minimize the risk of eye
injury, always wear ANSI Z87.1 approved eye protection when
performing this procedure.

WARNING: Never use solvents or other harsh chemicals
for cleaning the non‑metallic parts of the tool. These chemicals
may weaken the plastic materials used in these parts. Use a
cloth dampened only with water and mild soap. Never let any
liquid get inside the tool; never immerse any part of the tool
into a liquid.

Replacing the Brushsaw Cutting Blade (Fig. A, I)

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury,
turn unit off and remove the battery pack before making
any adjustments or removing/installing attachments or

Removing the Cutting Blade

WARNING: Use gloves and proper eye protection. Be
careful of the sharp edges of the blade.
1. Remove the battery.
2. Using pliers (not supplied), remove the cotter pin

325 -335 in-lb, 27 - 28 ft.-lb, 37 - 38 Nm.
‑ Without a torque wrench, use the blade wrench
or a 19 mm closed-end wrench or 19 mm socket and
ratchet, turning the nut until the blade retainer is snug
against the shaft bushing. Ensure that the blade is installed
correctly, then rotate the nut an additional 1/4 to 1/2
turn counterclockwise.
7. Remove the locking rod

serviceable parts inside the charger or battery pack.
