6- Precautions for use

a- Use
- Always use a drill bit suitable for your work and
sharpened for quality work.
- To open the chuck, hold the collar and turn the chuck
anticlockwise.
- Insert the drill bit and center it.
- To tighten, hold the collar and turn the chuck
clockwise.
A
Reversible drill chucks are always fixed by a screw with
a left-hand thread. The screw must be loosened before
the chuck can be removed. To loosen the screw, turn
clockwise.
- Mounting the auxiliary handle
Turn the auxiliary handle anticlockwise to remove it from
the body of the drill and adjust the depth gauge. Screw
the handle back on to the desired size.

- Mounting the depth gauge
Unscrew the auxiliary handle as far as possible to allow
the depth gauge to fit into the hexagonal pass-through
hole for the gauge. When the gauge is set to ensure your
desired drilling depth, screw the auxiliary handle back on
firmly.
- Starting and drilling
To drill (clockwise rotation), push the rotation direction

changeover switch (4) to the left. (Fig. F)
To unscrew (anticlockwise rotation), push the rotation
direction changeover switch to the right.
The rotation speed can be adjusted by applying

progressive pressure on the On/Off switch (6) (Fig. E).
During the drilling operation, if you press the locking
switch (5), the On/Off switch remains in the On position.
To stop continuous operation, press the On/Off switch
again.
To avoid overloading the machine when drilling large

holes, it is recommended to carry out a pre-drilling with
a smaller drill bit.
