3 Required tool and aids
For the correct installation of the sleeve caps and universal
sealing elements, the following tools and aids are required
in addition to the usual standard tools:
Universal sealing elements
Socket wrench for hex socket screw SW6
Sleeve cap
Socket wrench SW7

For the cable/pipe diameter 24-28 mm fold out the 1.
segment ring with the membrane to the front.

Cut the membrane at the edge with a cutter knife
and cut off at the predetermined breaking point (see
Fig.: 2).

Push the opened segment ring back in.
► For all other application ranges > 28 mmcut the seg-
ment sections from the sleeve cap, depending on the
cable/pipe diameter, with a cutter knife and remove
(see table 1). Steps 1, 2 and 3 are omitted in this
case.
