V1.0
1.
Wrap the external threads of the coupler plug with sealant tape.
1.1 Wrap tape in a clockwise direction so it will not unravel.
1.2 Do not tape all the threads. Leave several leading threads
unwrapped for easier alignment.
2.
Screw the coupler plug into the tool's air inlet and tighten with a
wrench until snug.
3.
Run the compressor at a low volume and check the connection for
air leaks. Do not use the tool until all air leaks are repaired or the
faulty component is replaced.
IMPORTANT! Vibration may cause failure if a quick coupler is
connected directly to the air tool. To overcome this, connect a
leader hose to the tool. A quick coupler may then be used to
connect the leader hose to the air line hose.
OPERATION
1.
Disconnect the air supply.
2.
Push the socket onto the anvil until it clicks into place.
3.
Connect the air hose and turn on the air compressor.
4.
Adjust the air regulator on the impact wrench as needed to set the
amount of torque.
5.
To loosen fasteners, move the lever (Fig. 1-1) on the back of the
drive head counter-clockwise to align the
arrow to the reverse arrow (Fig. 1-2).
6.
To tighten fasteners, move the lever
clockwise and align the arrow to select
either low (Fig. 1-3), medium (Fig. 1-4), or
high torque (Fig. 1-5) settings (small,
medium or large circles).
6.1 If tightening, tighten by hand as much as possible.
7.
Wait until the tool's shaft has stopped rotating before switching to
the opposite direction.
8.
Place the socket over the fastener, grip the impact wrench firmly
with both hands and gently squeeze the trigger. The impact wrench
will activate when the trigger is squeezed.
