ATTENTION: This TCM requires
adaptive learning performed after
installation. A scan tool can be used
to put the vehicle into adaptive
learning mode. After completing
the adaptive learning, disconnect
the scan tool. Next the following
sequence needs to be followed
specifically so that the vehicle can
shift properly.
DRIVE CYCLE
STEP 1:
Press and hold vehicle brake pedal (do not
use parking brake).
STEP 2:
Shift to drive.
STEP 3:
Wait 15 seconds.
STEP 4:
Shift to reverse.
STEP 5:
Wait two seconds.
STEP 6:
Repeat Steps 1–5 an additional 10 times.
STEP 7:
In parking lot or similar setting, accelerate
from stop with light throttle to 15 mph
(24 km/h).
STEP 8:
Brake to a complete stop. Wait six seconds.
STEP 9:
Repeat Steps 7–8 an additional five times.
STEP 10:
Gradually accelerate to a speed between 50
mph (80 km/h) and 65 mph (104 km/h) to
achieve 6th gear.

STEP 11:
Maintain speed between 50 mph (80
km/h)–60 mph (96 km/h) to remain in 6th
gear. Keep steady throttle for two minutes.
STEP 12:
Brake to a complete stop.
STEP 13:
Repeat Steps 10–12 an additional two times.
STEP 14:
Test drive vehicle.
NOTE: If the drive cycle is not
completed, customer may feel erratic
shifts. Call Dorman Technical Support
