BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
• Always wear proper safety equipment when performing repairs.
• Ensure this part fits your exact vehicle year, make, model and configuration. You can verify at your point of purchase using the part number on the box,
or using the part number above at DormanProducts.com.
• Reference the appropriate service manual for your vehicle. If you do not have a service manual, and do not have the training or experience to perform
the necessary procedures correctly, seek the services of a qualified technician.
Installation Specifications:
• This air intake manifold design does not require additional intake gaskets. The intake gaskets are already installed
onto the manifold.
• Be sure to fully seat the injectors into intake manifold when installing the fuel rail. Failure to do so will result in a vacuum leak
and/or may prevent fuel rail from being properly attached.
• Install double-ended studs from component kit at locations shown below. Tighten studs to 5 Nm torque.
• For information regarding installation of the VCM Position Sensor, refer to the shop manual. Reuse existing self-tapping
screws when installing the sensor. Tighten screws to 4 to 6 Nm torque.
• Install Variable Charge Motion Actuator (VCMA) per shop manual. Tighten VCMA bolt to 8 to 11 Nm.
• To install the upper intake manifold, refer to the appropriate shop manual.
STEP 1: Carefully remove intake manifold per the service
procedure outlined in shop manual.
STEP 2: Clean all mounting surfaces.
STEP 3: Reinstall intake manifold per shop manual.
STEP 4: Tighten bolts and nuts to 3.9–5.9 Nm (2.9–4.3 lb-ft)
following sequence A–H shown.
STEP 5: Tighten nuts to 18.62–23.52 Nm (13.74–17.36 lb-ft) and
tighten bolts to 26.5–31.4 Nm (19.5–23.1 lb-ft) following sequence
1–8 shown.
STEP 6: Repeat Step 5 twice or more to ensure final torque values
for nuts and bolts are maintained.
