PRESSURE COOKER
Do not use the pressure cooker for purposes other than those for which it has been
designed.
This device uses pressure for cooking. Improper use may cause burns. Before heating, make
sure that the cooker is properly closed. See the instructions for use.
Never open the pressure cooker by force. Do not open the lid before making sure that the
pressure inside the pressure cooker has dropped completely. See the instructions for use.
Never use your pressure cooker without adding water, this leads to major damage.
Do not fill the pressure cooker to more than 2/3 of its rated capacity. When cooking foodstuffs
which expand during cooking, such as rice or dehydrated vegetables, do not fill the cooker to
more than 1/4 of its capacity.
Use a suitable heat source, according to the instructions.
Some meat cuts with skin on are likely to swell under the effect of pressure (e.g. beef
tongue). Do not try to pierce the meat while the skin still has a swollen appearance; you
might be scalded.
When cooking doughy food, gently shake the cooker before opening the lid to avoid food
ejection.
Before each use, check that the valves are not obstructed. See the instructions for use.
Never use the pressure cooker for pressure frying in deep or shallow oil.
Do not manipulate any safety devices beyond performing maintenance described in the
operating instructions.
Only use manufacturer's spare parts in accordance with the relevant model. In particular, use
a body and a lid from the same manufacturer indicated as being compatible.
Please keep this manual properly.
1.
The pressure cooker is designed for cooking at home and should not be used for other
purposes. People who do not know the service of the cooker should not use it. When using,
keep children away from the pressure cooker.
2.
Under the pressure limit, the boiling point of the pressure cooker is below 120° centigrade;
during the boiling phase, a large amount of steam can be produced, while the volume of
fluids inside the pot can significantly increase, especially when the pressure is reducing too
fast.
3.
Don't cook food which expand during cooking such
as rice, dry legumes, fruit preserves, etc. to avoid
blocking the steam-releasing hole.
4.
Before and after using, keep the pressure regulator,
the sealing ring, the opening button, the lid and the
cooker body clean.
5.
Check that the pressure cooker is placed on a
stable hob; when using an electric hob, the pressure
cooker should be set on a smaller hob than the outer
diameter of its bottom. When cooking on a gas oven,
the flame should never touch the body wall (Fig. 2).
The pressure cooker is suitable for being used on
induction, electric and gas hobs, below 2kw.
6.
Make sure that the releasing hole is not directed to people or to the area where people could
walk through.
7.
If steam sprays out abnormally from the safety window, turn off the heat immediately. The
problem must be found out and solved before using again.
8.
Cooker under pressure should be moved with extreme caution, place it on a solid and plate
surface. Don't hit and don't bump it.
