ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
When this manual refers to a part number, it refers to the
included Parts List.
Use the exploded drawing in the Parts Breakdown as your guide
to assemble the shop press. Lay all parts and assemblies out in
front of you before beginning. A second person will make several
steps easier to carry out.
1. Attach one base section (#11) to the left post of the press
frame (#15) using bolts (#9), washers (#12), lock washers
(#13) and nuts (#14).
2. Attach a support bar (#10) to each end of the base section
(#11) with bolts (#9), washers (#12), lock washers (#13) and
nuts (#14).
3. Attach the other end of each support bar to the post with
bolts (#9), washers (#12), lock washers (#13) and nuts
(#14).
4. Check that the press is level and tighten the bolts.
5. Repeat step 1 through 4 to attach the other base section to
the right post.
6. Insert the bed frame pins (#8) into the holes in the posts,
then insert the joined press bed frame (#6) into press
frame and onto bed frame pin.
7. Position the upper round nut (#40) over the hole in the
upper press frame.
8. Insert the ram into the upper round nut and the hole in the
press frame. Screw the under round nut (#18) onto the ram
and tighten.
9. Screw the serrated saddle (#17) onto the end of the ram.
10. Attach the pump (#42) and protection cover assemblies to
the right post using bolts (#16) and washers (#12),
11. Connect oil hose 1 (#39) to the directing fitting (#30).
Connect the other end of the direct fitting to the union seat
(#34) that connects to the pressure gauge (#38).
