Before Initial Use

Before you can use the device, you must:
• unpack the items supplied,
• clean the device.

Unpacking the Device

CAUTION!
❐ Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.
Unpack all parts and check the items supplied to make sure they are complete (see the
"Items Supplied" chapter); also check for transport damage. If you fi nd any damage to
the components, do not use them (!), but contact the customer service department.

Cleaning the Device

The device may contain production residues. To avoid harmful effects to your health,
clean the device thoroughly before you fi rst use it (see the "Cleaning and Storage"
chapter).

Use

CAUTION!
❐ Danger of injury! The blades are sharp! Please take care when using the device:
– Only ever grip the cutting inserts by the plastic parts or using a tea towel. In
particular when you change the cutting inserts and the double blade, make sure
that you do not touch the blades and that the device is not connected to the mains
power.
– Never reach into the mixing container when the device is switched on and keep
your hair, jewellery and clothing away from the feed opening! Use the plunger
which is supplied to feed in ingredients.
– Clean the attachments carefully in order to avoid any cut injuries!
❐ Danger of injury due to rotating device parts! Keep clothing, jewellery, hair, hands
and other body parts away from the device so that nothing can get caught in rotating
device parts.
❐ Danger of burns! Be careful when puréeing / chopping up boiled food. Always allow
hot food to cool down fi rst before you use the device to avoid burns.
❐ Danger of scalding! Never use the blender in hot oil or other boiling hot liquids.
❐ Fruit may only be chopped up if the core / pips have been removed!
❐ With hard foodstuffs, e.g. raw vegetables, or very large quantities of food, do not use
the device for longer than one minute without stopping. Then let the device cool down
for four minutes before you use it again.
