4.4 Calming Sections (WESAN E)
ƒ
Where Woltman meters are used, there should be
a straight pipe section upstream and downstream
of the meter with a diameter equal to the nominal
diameter of the meter. The length of this pipe section
should be at least three times the nominal diameter.
ƒ
With a compound meter (WPV) no calming section is
required downstream of the meter.
ƒ
If there is a pipe elbow upstream of the meter, a
calming section of 5D is necessary.
ƒ
If the prescribed calming sections are not adhered to,
then installation of an aerator is recommended.
ƒ
For multi-jet impeller meters, the water meter fitting
is sufficient as a calming section.

5.1 Pin assignments (CORONA E)
The meter is supplied as standard with a 3 m long 3 or
5-conductor connecting cable (5-pole for IP68, 3-pole for
IP54).
