Transport and storage

ƒ
Water meters are precision devices and must be pro-
tected against impact and vibration!
ƒ
The permissible temperature range for storage and
transport is between -20 °C and +55 °C.
ƒ
The meter can be damaged by frost.
ƒ
Ambient temperatures between 10 °C and 40 °C help
to extend the battery life.
When sending wireless measuring instruments /
components by air, deactivate the wireless
before shipping.

Assembly / installation

4.1 General instructions

ƒ
Thoroughly flush out the pipes before installing the
meter.
ƒ
If the water is soiled, fit the strainer in the pipe before
the meter.
ƒ
Make sure the meter is installed sufficiently far away
from possible sources of electromagnetic interference
(switches, electric motors, fluorescent lamps, etc.).
ƒ
The meter must always be filled full with water.
ƒ
The meter must not be under any mechanical stress
when installed in the pipe.
ƒ
The meter must be protected against pressure shocks
in the pipe.
ƒ
The meter may only be installed in frost-free areas.
