• When working, always hold the
device firmly with both hands
and away from your body. This
will­help­you­to­have­better­control­of­
the­device­in­unexpected­situations.
• Do not use the device near flam-
mable liquids or gases. In­the­event­
of­a­short­circuit­there­is­a­risk­of­fire­and­
explosion.
• The blades must be checked reg-
ularly for wear and reground.
Blunt blades overload the device. Any
damage that results is not covered by
the warranty.
• Do not try to repair the device by
yourself unless you have profes-
sional training. All work not men-
tioned in this instruction manual
may only be performed by our
service centre. Many­accidents­are­
caused­by­poorly­maintained­appliances.
• Do not use any accessories that are
not recommended by PARKSIDE.
This­can­result­in­electric­shock­or­fire.
• The hedge trimmer is intended for work
during­which­the­operator­stands­on­the­
ground and not on a ladder or other
unstable surface.
• Do not wear several belt holders and/or
several­shoulder­straps­at­the­same­time.

swinging your hands and arms when
operating­the­appliance­for­longer­pe-
riods of time or if the unit is not held or
maintained­properly.

electric tool generates an electro-

Operating
Wear suitable clothing and
work gloves when working
with the equipment.
Wear eye and ear protection.
Ensure that the equipment is func-
tional before each use. The On/Off
switch and the safety switch must
not be held closed. They must
switch off the motor when on is re-
leased. Should a switch be dam-
aged, stop working with the equip-
ment. Ensure that the mains voltage
value matches the label on the
equipment.
Reduce the risk of injuries and acci-
dents by wearing personal protec-
tion equipment and ensuring that
the unit is fully functional.

Removing/inserting the
battery
1. To remove the battery from the device,
press­the­release­button­(16)­on­the­bat-
tery­(15)­and­pull­the­battery­out.
