1 Intended use

The Neacid pickling unit was developed for material-specific pickling (deoxidizing) of precious metal work
pieces together with the pickling agent Neacid ® (information on Neacid can be found under section 3 of
the operating instructions). The thermostatic control of the electrically heated unit and the resulting low
power consumption allow permanent heating during the entire working day. Therefore pickling processes
can be carried out with the unit at any time and in rapid succession.
The swivelling sieve that is connected to the unit housing allows to avoid the use of steel tweezers or
similar tools for the transport of the work pieces.
The unit is designed for indoor use only. The room temperature should be between 5 °C and 40 °C.
Maximum relative air humidity of 80 % for temperatures up to 31 °C, linearly decreasing to 50 % of
relative air humidity at 40 °C. External power supply. Voltage variations not larger than ± 10 % of the
rated value. Contamination degree 1 or 2 according to IEC 664 (section 3.7.3).
Please note!
The Neacid Pickling Unit was developed for use with Neacid pickling agent. Other pickling agents may
decompose the plastic components, leak into the unit or power switch and cause a short-circuit!
