HUMIDITY CONTROL SYSTEM
The humidity control system is intended for storing fresh fruit and vegetables and is integrated in the glass shelf
above the vegetable drawer. The humidity control allows air in the vegetable drawer and helps to regulate the
humidty rate. This increases the life of the food inside.
Note:
Open the slider if any condensation is seen on the glass shelf.
1. Move the slider (A) to the right: the ventilation openings are open.
2. Move the slider (A) to the left: the ventilation openings are closed.
ACCESSORIES
1. Fill the ice tray with water and place it in the freezer compartment.
2. After the water has completely turned into ice, you can twist the tray as shown to get the ice
cubes out of the tray.
FOOD STORAGE
Note:
The ambient air temperature, how often the door is opened and the position of the appliance
can affect the internal temperature. These factors must be taken into account when setting the
thermostat.
A 5 minute delaying function is applied to prevent damage to the compressor of the appliance, when
the plug is briefly taken out or when a power failure occurs. The appliance will start to operate
normally after 5 minutes.
Refrigerator compartment
To reduce humidity and avoid formation of frost, always store liquids in sealed containers in the refrigerator.
Cooked dishes must remain covered when they are kept in the refrigerator. Do not place warm foods in the
appliance. Place them when they are cool, otherwise the temperature/ humidity inside will increase, reducing the
efficiency of the appliance.
Do not place items in direct contact with the rear wall of the appliance as frost will develop and the packaging will
stick to it. Do not open the door frequently.
We recommend that meat and clean fish are loosely wrapped and stored on the glass shelf just above the
vegetable drawer where the air is cooler, as this provides the best storage conditions.
Store loose fruits and vegetable items in the vegetable drawer.
Do not put wet vegetables in the refrigerator.
Storage time for all food products depends on the initial quality of the food and an uninterrupted refrigeration
cycle before storing it in the appliance.
Fluids leaking from meat may contaminate other products in the appliance. You should package meat products
and clean any leakages on the shelves.
Do not put hot food in the appliance immediately, leave it to cool outside. Hot food increases the temperature of
the appliance and could cause food poisoning and unnecessary spoiling of the food.
To prevent cross contamination, meat products and fruit/ vegetables are not stored together.
Food should be placed in closed containers or covered to prevent moisture and odors.
Never store volatile, inflammable or explosive fluids such as alcohol, acetone or petrol in the appliance, because
of the risk of explosion.
Freezer compartment
Do not freeze too large an amount of food at one time; the faster the food is frozen, the longer it preserves its
qualities.
Food in liquid form should be frozen in plastic containers, and other food should be frozen in plastic foils or bags.
For freezing fresh food: wrap and seal fresh food properly, that is, the packaging should be airtight and shouldn't
leak. Special freezer bags, aluminum foil, polythene bags and plastic containers are ideal.
