Operation
Always check that electrical equipment and cables for
potential equalization is undamaged and that all acces-
sories are antistatic.Connect to a power source outside the
zone of tension according to the specifi cations plate on the
machine.
Th e fi lter should be cleaned 1-2 times per day with conti-
nuous running or if the machine is equipped with a fi lter
monitor, when this is in the red area.
For fi lter cleaning:
1. Start the machine.
2. Disconnect the hose from the suction casing.
3. Place the suction hoses free end of one machine's
handle so that maximum pressure is created in the
cyclone.
4. Open the door on the side 3-6 times. Th e air rushes
into the machine and clean the fi lter with pulse ef-
fect.
5. Disconnect the hose from the handle.
6. If the fi lter condition meter reads green work can
continue, if in the red, pulse clean again. If after
several repetitions, the fi lter condition still shows red
the fi ne fi lter 42398 must be changed.
Some operations (which restrict the air fl ow) can make the
fi lter monitor show a high value even
with clean fi lters. Th e machine should
never be run constantly with the moni-
tor showing in the red area because this
involves a risk of overheating.
Service
With cleaning and maintenance on the machine, the po-
wer cable should be disconnected from the supply. Service
should never be done inside the zone.
DC 3800 Turbo EX function should be tested at least
once per year because it is a machine for explosive envi-
ronments. Check that there is no damage to electrical
equipment, seals and cables for potential equalization.
Worn parts must be replaced. Never compromise the
function and longevity. Use only original parts.
Th e turbopump has a very long maintenance free service
life. After approximately 10 000 running hours, the radial
seal between the motor and pump housing should be
greased. Bearings and seals in the motor and turbopump
should be checked and lubricated. Parts worn beyond
serviceable tolerances should be replaced with genuine
spare parts.

Th e container should be emptied during the cyclone when
it is fi lled to about 2/3 or max 40 kg. Remove when the
two fasteners and remove the container. Use caution when
tensioning the locks removed - they can open up with great
power - especially when the material is heavy. Be aware
that the emptying of the container may pose an explosion
hazard, ie that explosive atmospheres may occur and that
static charge can be generated by the friction of particles
against the container. For appropriate measures to ensure

When the container is mounted on the dust extractor
must the fasteners loop have good contact with the tin at
the top.
HEPA fi lter removed from the seat of the cover by pulling
and wiggling it. New micro-fi lter is put into the fi ne fi lter.
Make sure it's the middle of the seat when the lid is fi tted.
