▪ Operation with a DCC Command Station (multiMAUS from Ver. 1.05)
As the multiMAUS has 28 function keys and a light button, can be especially comfortably ope-
rated.
Programming modes:
The locomotive and carriages react to all DCC programming modes.
We recommend: direct CV programming or POM mode (programming on main track).
The programming is described in the multiMAUS, WLANMAUS, Z21 manual.
Reading CVs:
With the appropriate equipment (e.g. / Z21 / z21 / z21start), you can read the value.
▪ Operation with Motorola control panel (MM)
The crane can also be operated with MM-Format control panels with restrictions. However,
only functions F0 to F4 (MM-2) can be used, or functions F0 to F8 if a so-called subsequent
address is used. However, it only makes sense to operate the crane in MM format if you need
to use a control centre that cannot handle DCC itself. DCC is much more powerful and there-
fore absolutely preferable.
▪ Operation with Z21-App
We ask you to update the Z21 application to be able to control it optimally.
▪ Analog operation AC or DC
The digital crane is not suitable for operation with analogue speed controllers (AC
or DC)! This can damage the crane!
▪ Factory reset
First the crane decoder must be reset using CV8=8.
Then the crane main board is reset using CV908=8.
▪ Firmware Update
The crane decoder and the main board can be updated with black Z21.
To avoid damage, only the firmware version released by Roco may be used for the decoder.
The latest version is available on Z21.eu.
