CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE
We recommend that the device be inspected at least twice a year by an expert servicing facility. Only
a qualifi ed individual, who is licensed to do so, may perform work on the device.
Warning! Before you begin to use the device you must remove the protective sheeting from the
whole stainless steel surface, wash it well using water with washing up liquid and then wipe it with
a rag soaked in clean water.
Never use the device if the duplicator is empty of water! This may cause damage to the device!
Regularly check the water level in the duplicator and refi ll it.
If used for an extended period the appliance must undergo regular maintenance for safe use, we
recommend you sign a servicing contract for this purpose.
Maintenance must only be performed by authorised servicing technicians, who follow the valid
standards and regulations and advice contained in these instructions. The optimum frequency of
preventive inspections is once every six months, if the device is used extensively an inspection
once every three months is recommended. Preventive inspections help prevent more extensive
malfunctions thereby economising operation of the device.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:
Everyday cleaning of the device guarantees its perfect function and extended service life. Clean
stainless steel parts using a moist rag with washing up liquid. Do not use cleaning products containing
chloride or abrasives. After cleaning, wipe with a moist rag without washing up liquid.
Advice for cleaning individual components:
Thoroughly wash the boiler tank and wipe dry. Use washing up liquids intended for professional
kitchens, intended for cleaning stainless steel items, to clean the device. In exceptional cases stains
may appear in the internal duplicator container during operation of the boiler, these do not infl uence
the functionality or health& safety, they are not a defect and cannot be the subject of a customer
claim.Open the drainage valve and fl ush with clean water. Never drain the contents of the boiler
without using a drain strainer. This could result in the valve becoming clogged and destroyed.
Every day after use the areas of friction on the drainage valve must be lubricated using food grade
vaseline. The vaseline also ensures that the conical cock does not leak.
Procedure in case of defects:
Close the water supply and disconnect the electricity supply, immediately call the servicing
organisation. If the device remains unused for an extended period close the water supply and
disconnect the electricity supply.
