Problem
Burner(s) do not light / Ignitors do not
spark
Burner flame goes out unexpectedly
Ignitors spark even though knobs are in
the off position
Cooking results are not what was
expected

For handy reference, the serial tag information has been
affixed to the underside of the rough-in box, underneath the
cooktop.

Make sure that the gas shut off valve is in the ON positio n and the gas
supply to the house is not shut off.
Make sure the burner caps are properly positioned and th e burner
ports are not clogged. Clear ports with a wire or straig htened paper clip
if clogged.
Make sure the igniters are clean and dry.
Check the power supply. It should be properly grounded wi th the
correct polarity. Make sure the unit is plugged in and t he circuit breaker
is not tripped.
Make sure that there i s no draft in the room.
When the electrical power connecti on has been activated at the first
power up or reconnected after an outage, the igniters may sp ark once
or twice even though all burner knobs are in the off posi tion.
The cooktop is not level.
Cooking pan does not fit the surface being used.
Cookware is not the type or size recommended.
