2.1
Intended use
The Basic sandblaster BASIC MOBIL is intended for commercial use in dental laboratories in accordance
with the instructions for use. The unit is intended for use in the following tasks:
• Removal of residual investment material and of oxides on cast components
• Surface treatment
• Devestment of press ceramics
• Sandblasting of ceramic occlusal surfaces
2.2
Meaning of these instructions
These instructions for use act as a guide for safe usage of the unit.
If the operating instructions are not observed, accidents can lead to injuries and damage.
⇒ Only use the unit in accordance with these instructions for use.
⇒ Keep the instructions for use ready with the unit.
⇒ Provide the instructions for use to all subsequent users of the unit.
2.3
Requirements that the operator must meet
⇒ The product may only be used by persons aged 14 or over who are familiar with the procedures and
rules in a dental laboratory.
2.4
Safe condition of the unit
Faulty or broken components, or those that are not sealed as required, may cause injuries.
⇒ Check the power cord, housing, and other components such as connection cables, tubes, and the key
pad for damage, for example such as kinks, cracks, porosity, and signs of aging.
⇒ Do not expose the unit to mechanical impact. Do not drop it.
2.5
Risk of injury to the eyes or skin
Injury may occur to the eyes or skin as a result of high pressure or of components fracturing that are sub-
ject to high pressure.
⇒ Always wear appropriate protective goggles when carrying out work on the unit.
⇒ Never direct the blasting material towards the eyes or unprotected areas of skin.
