9. USER ALERTS
Sanitization alert
The appliance signals when it is necessary to perform the sanitization and replace the filter: the power
light flashes and it is not possible to dispense water.
Please refer to Maintenance chapter to perform the sanitization.
It is possible to posticipate the sanitization alarm of one week and continue to use the appliance
pushing the sanitization button.
Empty battery alert
The appliance signals when the internal battery is low: the power light does three consecutive blinks
followed by few seconds pause. Contact your dealer to replace the battery.
10. MAINTENANCE
In the following table are listed the maintenance operations to be performed:

10.1 Cleaning of aerator and external tank
Unscrew the aerator and remove the external tank (VERSO models only) from the dispenser.
Wash the parts with a sanitising liquid for food use.
Rinse thoroughly with water, then screw the aerator and reposition the tank above the dispenser.
NOTE
The tank cannot be washed in a dishwasher.
10.2 Ordinary sanitisation
CAUTION
The appliance must be sanitised each time the filter is changed, whenever the appliance remains unused
for a long period and, in all cases, at least once a year.
When performing sanitisation, the filter must be always replaced with a new one.
CAUTION
Until the completion of sanitisation is not possible to consume water dispensed by the device.
Sanitising the 18 SMART PLUS S
Prepare a 250cc of 3% hydrogen peroxide and a 100cc syringe.
Press and hold the sanitisation button until the power light turns off, then release it. The power light
switch on.
Remove the filter. Close the tap. Close the pressure regulator.
Disconnect the connection tube downstream of the tap and upstream of the check valve.
N.B. never disconnect the check valve!
