Seguire quanto indicato alla SEZ. 5-3 per
smontare la sella conducente.
Svitare e rimuovere la vite (A) e relativa

rosetta (B) che fissano il cover superiore,
nella parte posteriore, e quella centrale che
fissa le carenature laterali al serbatoio (viti e
rosette non sono da riutilizzare).

necessarie per evitare di danneggiare
qualsiasi parte nella quale ci si trova ad
operare.

asciugarle. Al fine di evitare graffi da
sfregamento, durante le fasi di montaggio e
nell'uso del veicolo, è consigliato montare
protezioni antigraffio adesive sotto la borsa
e in corrispondenza delle cinghie di
fissaggio.
Inserire nella vite (5) le due rosette (6) e
montarla sulla staffa posteriore (4).

Fissare la staffa posteriore (4) sul serbatoio
in posizione verticale, serrando la vite (5) a 4
Nm.

per evitare di danneggiare il tessuto della
staffa e pregiudicarne il fissaggio.
Inserire la vite (5) nelle staffe laterali (7) e
montare il distanziale (8).
Fissare le staffe (7) ai lati del serbatoio,
mantenendole in posizione verticale, e
serrare le viti (5) alla coppia di 2 Nm.
Appoggiare la borsa completa (1) sul cover
serbatoio e fissare i due ganci anteriori (C)
sull'estremità anteriore del cover serbatoio,

centrandoli rispetto all'apertura del blocco
"Hands free".

Removing the original
components
Warning
Have the kit installed by a trained
technician or at a DUCATI Authorized
Workshop.
Note
Some of the operations required to
install this kit are described in the Workshop
Manual for your motorcycle model (MTS
1200).
Follow instructions indicated to SECT. 5-3
to remove the rider seat.
Loosen and remove screw (A) and the
relevant washer (B) retaining the top cover
in the rear side and the central screw
retaining the two side fairings to tank
(screws and washers cannot be reused).
Kit installation
Caution
Check that all components are clean
and in perfect condition before installation.
Adopt any precaution necessary to avoid
damages to any part of the motorcycle you
are working on.
Caution
Carefully clean the cover and the tank
fairings with soapy water and dry them. To
avoid scratches due to friction, it is
recommended to assemble adhesive
suitable protections under the bag and on
the retaining belts, during assembly phases
and vehicle usage.
Fit two washers (6) in screw (5) and fit it on
the rear bracket (4).
Fix rear bracket (4) vertically on the tank, by
tightening screw (5) to 4 Nm.
Caution
Do not tighten the screw too much to
avoid bracket fabric to be damaged and to
jeopardize the fastening.
Insert screw (5) into side brackets (7) and
assemble spacer (8).
Fasten brackets (7) to tank sides, by
keeping them vertically, and tighten screws
(5) to 2 Nm.
Set the complete bag (1) on the tank cover
and fix the two front retainers (C) on the
tank cover front end, by centering them
with respect to "Hands free" block opening.
