1 General information

2 Safety
The quick guide that is provided is a constituent part of the device.

2.1 Intended use
The device is a transformerless PV inverter which converts the direct current of the PV generator into grid-compatible
three-phase alternating current and then feeds the three-phase alternating current into the public power grid.
The device is built using state-of-the-art technology and in accordance with the recognized safety rules. Nevertheless,
improper use may cause lethal hazards for the operator or third parties or may result in damage to the device and
other property.
The device is intended for indoor and outdoor applications and may only be used in countries for which it has been ap-
proved or for which it has been released by KACO new energy and the grid operator.
Operate the device only with a permanent connection to the public power grid. The country and grid type selection
must be commensurate with the respective location and grid type.
For the grid connection, the requirements of the grid operator must be implemented. In addition, the authorization for
connection to the grid may be subject to approval by the responsible authorities.
The name plate must be permanently attached to the product and must be in legible condition.
2.2 Improper use
Any other or additional use is not considered proper or intended use and can lead to an annulment of the product
guarantee. This includes:
ž Use of a distribution system that is not described (grid type)
ž Use of sources other than PV-strings.

Mobile use
ž Use in rooms where there is a risk of explosion
ž
Use in direct sunlight, rain or a storm or other harsh environmental conditions
ž Use in an outdoor area that does not meet the environmental conditions set down in Technical Data/Environmen-
tal Data in the comprehensive operating instructions
ž
Operation outside the specification intended by the manufacturer
ž Overvoltage of more than at the DC connection. 1500 V

2.3 Warnings on the device
A warning sticker is affixed to the device, see the figure on the title page.

2.4 Personnel qualification
The operator may only monitor the LEDs, carry out visual checks and clean the housing of the device. All other work
may only be carried out by a qualified electrician, see the comprehensive operating instructions under
