Thank you for selecting this ABB PSE Softstarter. Read carefully and
be sure to understand all instructions before mounting, connecting and
configuring the Softstarter.
This manual is a short form manual intended for quick and easy instal-
lation of the PSE Softstarter. For complete information, please see Soft-
starters Type PSE18...PSE370, Installation and Commissioning Manual

In this User Manual, the following symbols are used:
Warning
General warning symbol indicates the presence of a hazard which could
result in personal injury and damage to equipment or property.
Warning
Warning symbol indicates the presence of hazardous voltage which
could result in personal injury.
Warning
Symbol indicates that only authorized and appropriately trained person-
nel are allowed to do the installation, operation and maintenance of
the product. It should be done in accordance with existing laws and
regulations.
Information
Information sign tells the reader important facts and conditions.
The graphics symbol
graphical information.
Mounting and electrical connection of the softstarter shall be made in
accordance with existing laws and regulations and be performed by
authorized personnel.
When unpacking your new PSE Softstarter, please check for visible
damage. If any is found, contact your local sales agent.
Never lift the softstarter by the connection bars, since it may cause
damage to the product.
Service and repair should be performed by authorized personnel only.
Note that unauthorized repair may affect the warranty.
