Freezing fresh products:
Adjust the temperature control to obtain the lowest temperature possible without allowing it to
fall below 0° in the refrigerator.
Do not open the freezer door during freezing.
Leave the appliance in freezing mode for 24 hours and then reposition the temperature control
button in the central position after this period of time.
Storing frozen food
• Frozen products can be grouped together to leave space free for freezing.
• When you purchase a frozen product, make sure that the packaging is intact, shows no traces
of humidity and is not inflated, which is an indication that defrosting has started.
• Respect the storage period indicated by the manufacturer on frozen products.
• Avoid opening the door too frequently and only leave it open for as long as is necessary. An
increase in temperature can reduce the storage period of food.
Defrosting
Meat, poultry and fish should be defrosted in the refrigerator to prevent bacteria from developing.
Other products may be defrosted in ambient air.
Small portions of food can be cooked straight from the freezer. Many ready meals can also
be cooked without having to be defrosted first. Always follow the instructions provided on the
packaging.
Bread and pastries can be defrosted in a warm oven.
Microwaves can be used to defrost most types of food. Follow the instructions provided in the
microwave manual.
NOTE
In the event of a power cut, frozen food will not be affected if
the appliance is switched off for less than 15 hours. However,
you should avoid opening the door (the time taken for the
appliance to return to the required temperature can be
significantly reduced if the appliance is fairly empty). As
soon as you notice signs of defrosting, the food should be
consumed as quickly as possible. Never refreeze food that
has already been defrosted.
