25. Please ensure that the platform floor truck is not exposed to lateral forces when the fork/platform is
lifted. In this condition the platform floor truck (with and without load) is significantly more unstable than
in lowered position. The aforementioned may result in the device tilting, the goods being damaged, and
a danger to life and limb.
26. During loading and unloading, please always observe the centre of gravity of the loaded goods. The
centre of gravity may be moved towards one side or in the direction of the fork end when loading and
unloading in an imbalanced manner, endangering the stability of the platform floor truck. The platform
floor truck may tilt more easily, be damaged, damage the goods, or endanger and injure the user and
bystanders. Please always observe the load centre and always move the platform floor truck with the
fork lowered, if possible.
27. Never use the platform floor truck as a seat! The platform floor truck is not designed for the
aforementioned. It could tilt and injure you.
28. Please always move the platform floor truck with the fork lowered, if possible. The platform floor truck is
significantly more unstable when containing a load and with the fork lifted. Thus, the risk of an accident
is significantly higher. If possible, lower the fork, release the locking brake, move the platform floor truck
to its destination, operate the locking brake, and use the foot pedal to bring the fork to the desired
height again. If possible, only lift the fork after you have arrived at the destination. If the platform floor
truck is moved with the fork lifted, please drive extremely carefully and avoid jerky manoeuvres.
29. After having moved the device, always operate the locking brakes at the steering wheels to protect the
platform floor truck against rolling away. The brakes being engaged is particularly important when works
are to be implemented on the (lifted) platform floor truck to maintain the position of the device.
30. Please only operate the platform floor truck using the foot lever/drawbar (for lifting), the lowering lever in
the drawbar (for lowering), and the two vertical holding handles to the left and the right of the lifting
frame. The device is moved using the drawbar and the holding handles only, do not grab the side of the
frame or even reach into the lifting mechanism. In order to lower the fork you must only use the lever in
the drawbar. Please ensure that neither hands nor feet are near the lifting mechanism.
31. When lifting and lowering the fork, the device may become unstable when the pump is operated too
regularly. When lifting, please always observe that the vibration of the device resulting from the pump
being operated is not supported by the "next" operations of the pump. The vibration may instigate more
and more until the device and/or the load become unstable, tilt, and cause damages or injuries.
32. When moving/manoeuvring with the load lifted for storing or stacking purposes (pallets), please observe
the castor effect of the steering wheels. The same for example occurs when the platform floor truck has
been pushed towards or below a load, i.e. the wheels are pointing in a "straight-forward" direction, and
when the platform floor truck is then (after having added the load) pulled and the wheels rotate by 180° .
As lifted loads are generally more unstable, please manoeuvre, pull, and push the platform floor truck
not too fast, if possible, with the fork lowered, and please always observe the position of the steering
wheels.
