3 Construction / Installation
The water sampling valve "Aquastrom P" is supplied
loosely pre-assembled and must not be dismounted
before installation. This way, the alignment of the valve
on site is easy and a quick installation is guaranteed.
WARNING
Suitable measures (e.g. safety valves) have to
be taken to ensure that the maximum operating
pressures and maximum and minimum operating
temperatures are not exceeded or undercut.

3.2 Montage
WARNING
Hot or cold surfaces
Risk of injury Do not touch the valve without
safety gloves. It may get very hot cold during
operation.

1. Screw basic body (1) with copper ring gasket (2) to
the designed valve and tighten it with a (size 22)
spanner (illustr. 3.2).
Where space is limited, dismount pre-assembled
valve and tighten basic valve body (1) with a (size
22) spanner, if required.
2. Align valve body (4) and tighten with hexagon head
screw for stem sealing (6) – size 19, without
excessive torque. Observe the correct installation
position of the copper ring gaskets (5).
3. Close valve stem (3) with enclosed Allen key (13) –
size 5, without excessive torque.
4. Slightly tighten the clamping screw for gland sealing
(8) – size 12.
5. Align discharge pipe (9) and fix it with compression
ring (11) and collar nut (10) – size 15.
After installation, carry out water sampling. Check
faultless operation of the stem. If required, loosen
the clamping screw for gland sealing (8) or tighten it if
leakage occurs. Attention: A small quantity of water
may escape through the stainless steel pipe after water
sampling
NOTICE
Only provide tightness between the water sampling
valve and the connected valve by tightening the
hexagon of the basic valve body (1) – size 22
High torques at the hexagon head screw for
stem sealing (6) and the clamping screw for
gland sealing (8) are inadmissible

NOTICE
Tightness to the system is provided via the basic
valve body (1), the copper ring gasket (2) and the
stem (3).
Tightness during water sampling is only
guaranteed by the body (4), the copper ring
gaskets (5), the hexagon head screw for stem
sealing (6) and the clamping screw for gland
sealing (8). High torques may cause damage to
the components
