▪ Only operate the toaster in the upright position away from other
objects.
▪ Do not cover the bread slots during toasting. Do not lay any bread
slices or rolls on the casing, as this causes the device to overheat.
▪ No liability is assumed for any damages in cases of misuse,
improper operation or unprofessional repairs. Claims under
warranty are likewise excluded in such cases.
▪ The appliance is not designed for commercial use.
Use
This toaster is suitable for standard slices of bread, XXL slices of bread
(up to 11x11cm in size), plaited yeast buns and similar bakery products
with a maximum thickness of 3 cm.
Only use bakery products without fillings and toppings such as butter
and jam.
Start-up
The unnecessary length of the connecting cable can be wound at the
base of the device. Connect the mains plug to an earthed socket.
Prior to the first use, run the toaster through at least three
toasting cycles without bread at the medium setting in order
to remove the surface protection from the heating elements.
The resulting odour is harmless, but this should nevertheless be
performed in a well-ventilated area. Allow the device to cool off
somewhat before switching it on every time.
Insert the bread slices into the bread slot. They should not be thicker
than 30 mm so that they do not jam. Place small slices upright in the
bread slot so that it is easier to take them out after toasting.
Press the lift button down and immediately afterwards set the control
knob for the degree of browning to the middle level, so that five of
the ten scale segments light up. After the toasting time required for
the selected setting expires, the device switches off automatically and
the finished toast is raised from the bread slot for removal.
Note: Once the lift button has been pressed down, firstly a varying
number of light segments illuminate, depending on the selected
degree of browning, from 1 – very light to 10 – very dark. The
segments go out one by one in clockwise order so that browning
progress can be seen. As soon as all segments have gone out, your
toast is ready and is raised from the bread slot.
Automatic cut-out switch
To prevent damage, the temperature of the device is checked each
time after switch-on. If the toaster is too hot, all light segments flash
rapidly three times and the process is stopped. In this case, wait a few
minutes to give the device time to cool off.
Removing the toast
With the integrated automatic lift mechanism, small slices of bread
can also be removed safely and easily.
