Operation
C.
Harvest
You can harvest this quickly: You can usually harvest within 5-8 days (varies with light, tempera-
ture, season, and type of seed, etc ) The best time for harvesting leafy green sprouts is when 90% of
the sprouts have lost their seedcoats and the leaves have split into two parts To harvest your sprouts,
grasp them at the bottom end and shake them out by their roots, or completely remove the sprout
screen (3) from the sprout barrel (5) You can pull out or cut off the roots anchored onto the lower
sprout screen If desired as a matter of taste, you can remove the seeds from the sprouts in a bowl of
clean water After letting them drain for a few minutes, your sprouts are ready to be eaten
To maintain optimal freshness, keep your sprouts in a covered container in the refrigerator It is also
helpful to rinse them off after few days to keep them crisp and fresh for about 4-7 days Before eating
them, you should make sure they are still edible
You should thoroughly clean your FreshLife
