sensors
4.1
Fitting /position of adapters
Depending on the design of the measurement bay (e.g.
pit, scissors-type lifting platform, 4-column lifting plat-
form) attach an appropriate adapter at the sensor and
measurement bay. Fitting is described in the separate
instructions included with each adapter.
i
The two reference cameras must be in visual con-
tact. Make sure the height of the sensors is selected
accordingly.
i
With floor-level and under-floor platforms make sure
the sensor is not in contact with the floor with the
platform lowered. Ensure a clearance from the floor
of at least 10 mm.
i
For lifting platforms with adjustable runways, make
sure the correct spacing value has always been
stored in the program.

Determine the sensor position with the shortest
distance from the turntable (Fig. 3).
Attach the adapter to the left side of the measure-

ment bay. The distance between the center of the
turntable and the center of the sensor should be
930-950 mm.

3.
Attach the adapter to the right side of the measure-
ment bay in the same way as for the left side.
Terminate the wheel alignment program.
4.
5.
use the right mouse key to start <Easy 3D service
functions> in the task bar.
6.
Select <Display
> with the right mouse key.
7.
Continue with <System
?
The
CCD reference system is initialized.
?
The measured values of the CCD reference system
are displayed.

Sensor alignment
8.
If the values for the left and right toe, the left and
right camber and the left and right level differ by
> +/-1°, align the sensors using the platform adapter
adjusting screws.
9.
If the values are OK, close the window with "ESC".
10.
Start the wheel alignment program.
11.
In the <Service
> <Settings> menu, enter distance
values in "mm" or "inches" in the dialog window
and confirm with OK.
"
The sensors are ready for operation.
