7 INSTALLATION

This product requires a professional installation and proper
training to avoid injuries or material damage, both during the
installation and during the use of the product.
If a mounting kit is not provided, and if a specific mounting kit is
not available for the chosen vehicle, proper sized steel plates
must be used to support the product in order to be compliant to
safety and law requirements for homologation.
The installation must be conducted in an area away from
potential hazards and the personnel must be trained to use the
required installation equipment and tools, which must be in
proper working conditions; potentially dangerous equipment,
such as welding machines or car lifters must be compliant to
safety standards.
The chassis of the vehicle must be checked before the
installation: If holes, cuts, or weldments must be done in order to
install the product, particular care must be taken to avoid the
forming of rust, and the total and local strength of the chassis
must remain the same or higher after the modifications. If these
safety measures are not followed, LCI Italy s.r.l. or any part of
Lippert Components, Inc. are not liable nor responsible for any
loss or damage or injury resulting from such negligence.
In most vehicles, high temperature components such as exhaust
pipes, and moving parts such as driveshafts could be near the
area on which the product will be installed: particular care must
be taken to avoid fire or mechanical hazards, and the unit must
never exceed the temperatures indicated in the datasheet; any
negligence on this part is not covered by the standard product
warranty.
For single-unit packages, if a mounting kit is provided, a
specific documentation should be included to help the
installation on the specific vehicle for which is designed.
