2. Safety instruction
For skilled electricians and
suitable qualified, instructed
personnel in accordance with national
legislation, including the relevant
standards and, where applicable, in acc.
with IEC/EN 60079-17 on electrical
apparatus for explosive atmospheres.
The letter "U" in the certification
number means that this component
certificate may only be used as a
basis for the certification of apparatus
or protective systems.
The technical data indicated on the
LED module are to be observed!
Changes of the design and
modifications to the LED module are
not permitted!
The light fitting shall be operated as
intended and only in undamaged and
perfect condition!
Only Cooper Electric (Changzhou)
Co., Ltd.(CEC) Spare parts can be
used for replacement!
Repairs that affect the explosion
protection (see national standard),
may only be carried out by CEC or a
qualified "electrician"!
Do not keep these operating
instructions inside the lighting fitting
during operation!
The national safety rules and regulation
for prevention of accidents and the
following safety instruction which are
marked with an (
) in these operating
instruction, will have to be observed!
3. Conforrmity with standards
This ELLK LED module meets the
requirements of IEC/EN 60079-0, IEC/EN
60079-7, IEC/EN 60079-18,IEC/EN 60079-
28. It also complies with the EU Directives
for " Apparatus and protective system for
use in explosion atmospheres"

Rev.3
(2014/34/EU). References to standards and
directives in these operating instructions
always relate to the latest version. Other
additions (e.g. details relating to the year)
shall be observed.
4. Field of application
The field of application in hazardous areas
as stated on the type label of the light fitting
is not restricted by the installation of the
LED module.
The enclosure materials used, including any
external metal parts, are high quality
materials which ensure a corrosion
protection and resistance to chemical
substances corresponding to the
requirements in a "normal industrial
atmosphere".
5. Installation
The respective national regulation
IEC/EN 60079-14 as well as the general
rules of engineering which apply to the
installation and operation of explosion
protected apparatus will to be observed!
Transport and storage of the LED module
is permitted in original packing and
specified position only!
Attention
The type of protection of the light
fitting is extended to include the type of
protection of the LED module.
6. Taking into operation
Prior to operation, check the LED module for
its proper functioning and installation in
compliance with these operating instructions
and other applicable regulations!
7. Maintenance
Observe the national regulations

The required maintenance intervals are
set according to their application and
should therefore be determined
depending on the conditions of use.
8. Servicing
When servicing ,in particular those
components that affect the explosion
protective ,will have to be checked, e.g:
Potting of optics module or AC/DC
module for any cracks or damages
Contacts for their firm fit
Reflector fall apart
If during servicing, repairs prove to be
necessary, section 9 of these
operating instructions will have to be
observed.
9. Repair
Prior to replacing or removing any
components, observe the following: Cut the
apparatus off the voltage before opening it
or carrying out repairs! Only use certified
CEC spare parts! (see CEC spare parts list).
Repair that affect the explosion protection
(see national standard IEC/EN60079-19),
may only be carried out by CEC or qualified
"electrician"!
