BRS-LC
CAUTION
Risk of toppling
Physical damage or damage to components due to improper mounting.
• Separate the supply lines.
• Place the components on a suitable base (flat, tight, dry) that prevents them from tipping.
NOTICE
• Ensure free access to the operating components and connections.
• Protect the components against rain and direct solar radiation.
• Components must only be used in dry environments with sufficient ventilation.
7.1 Set up
7.1.1 Mount the torch cleaning station
The BRS-LC can be installed in any position and orientation, with certain reservations. However, a trouble-free function is
only guaranteed if installed as shown in Fig. 3 Torch cleaning station sub-assembly BRS-LC on page EN-9.
Screw down the BRS-LC on a vibration-free surface or on the optionally available assembly stand by means of four screws
(ø8 mm).
7.2 Robot programming to approach the clamping position

Putting into operation
NOTICE
• If there is not any torch in the clamping position and a clamping and stroke movement is carried out, there is a risk of
damaging the reamer.
An exact robot programming is required to avoid that stress is transmitted over the torch to the robot axes when clamping the
gas nozzle. This might cause failures and axis disconnection. Save the following approach positions in the robot program.
1 Move the robot to its waiting position (1)
2 Inquire operational readiness of the BRS-LC
3 If "stroke down" (= I), insert the torch into the clamping device (2)
4 The cylindrical part of the gas nozzle has even contact with the prism without applying forces. The torch and reamer axes
are coaxial. Clamping position (3)
