2 Clean the brewing unit under
warm running water, particularly
the stainless steel sieves must be
well rinsed and cleaned of coffee
remains. Dip the brewing unit in
hot water to release the dried
coffee remains. Dry the brewing
unit. Fig. 30
3 Inserting the brewing unit: Turn
the brewing unit to the correct
position (the outlet tube faces
forwards and downwards), set the
brewing unit in the guide grooves
and push the brewing unit fully
into the appliance. Fig. 31
4 Close the service door until it locks
audibly into position. Fig. 32
5 Reinsert the coffee grounds
container. Fig. 33
The appliance can only be
switched on if the brewing unit is
set in and the service door is
closed. After switching on the
brewing unit re-adjusts itself, the
normal heating process starts
again. When dispensing coffee for
the first time after cleaning, an
increased amount of water will
access the coffee grounds
container.

13.6 Running the Cleaning Program

The cleaning program permits the
intensive cleaning of otherwise inac-
cessible locations. Start the cleaning
program at the latest when you are
instructed by the display indication
«CARRY OUT CLEANING PRO-
CESS».
The cleaning process takes ca.
8 minutes and should not be inter-
rupted.
Use only cleaning products recom-
mended by Fagor. To obtain them,
consult your distributor or our
Customer Care Helpline.
Before starting the cleaning program,
clean the brewing unit (see „Cleaning
the Coffee-making Unit" page 49).
Press the „Menu" key (Fig. 3, f)
The menu point «LANGUAGE»
appears.
Press the paging keys
or d) until the menu point «CLEAN»
appears.
Confirm the menu point with the „OK"
key (Fig. 3, g). The display shows
CLEANING».

Confirm with the „OK" key (Fig. 3, g).
«PREPARE CLE-
The display shows
ANING».
To prepare for cleaning, follow the
instructions in the display.
«REFILL WATER – PRESS
•
Remove the water tank, fill it with
water and replace. Then press the „OK"
key (Fig. 3, g). The unit rinses
2 x automaticity.
«BEAN CONTAINER
•
IN POWDER MODE»
This message only appears when the
bean container is in bean mode.
Turn the bean container to the position
„Ground coffee" (Fig. 35).
«TABLETS IN POWDER HOLDER
•
– PRESS OK»
Place a cleaning tablet in the powder
holder (Fig. 36). Then press the „OK"
key (Fig. 3, g).

UNDER OUTLET – PRESS
Place the emptied container under the
outlet as shown in Fig. 37.
The container serves as a collecting
vessel for the cleaning fluid.
Press the „OK" key (Fig. 3, g). The clean-
ing program starts.
