Is the mains plug correctly inserted into the socket?
Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of your mains connection.
Set a low degree of toasting using the rotary knob.
Pull out the mains plug and allow the toaster to cool down. Move the
lowering lever up and down a few times to release bread which is stuck.
The bread slices may be too thick. Use thinner slices of bread.
Is the crumb tray full? Pull out the mains plug and allow the toaster to
cool down. Clean the crumb tray.
The toast is too thick. Pull out the mains plug and allow the toaster to
cool down. Move the lowering lever up and down a few times to lever
out the bread.
