Possible cause / solution
• Is the mains plug inserted in the socket correctly?
• Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
• Check the fuse of the mains connection.
• Set a low degree of toasting using the rotary knob (7).
• Pull the mains plug out of the socket and allow the device to
cool down. Move the lowering lever (3) up and down a few
times to release bread which is stuck.
• The bread slices may be too thick. Use thinner slices of bread.
• Is the crumb tray (8) full? Pull the mains plug out of the socket
and allow the device to cool down. Clean the crumb tray (8).
• The bread slices may be too thick and touch the heating ele-
ments. Use thinner slices of bread.
