Safety Instructions

Intended Use

❐ The device is intended to be used for toasting bread.
❐ The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote
control system.
❐ The device is intended for private use, not for commercial use.
❐ Use the device only as described in the instructions. Any other use is considered contrary
to the intended purpose.

Danger of Injury

❐ Keep the device and packaging material away from children and animals. There is a danger
of injury and suffocation!
❐ This device should not be used by people (including children) with impaired sensory or
mental faculties or who do not have adequate experience and/or knowledge of such de-
vices, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety, or have received
instructions from such a person on how to use the device. Children must be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the device.
❐ The device should only be used and stored out of the reach of children. The mains cable
must also be kept out of the reach of children. Otherwise they might use the cable to pull
the device down on themselves.
❐ DANGER OF BURNS! Keep clothing such as scarves, shawls, ties and long hair away from
the device.
❐ During operation of the device, the temperature of the surfaces which can be touched may
be very high. The device is thermally insulated, but high temperatures are still produced
during use in the area of the toasting slots and they may cause burns. Only ever touch the
device on the thermally insulated operating elements. The device should only be trans-
ported when it has cooled down.

Danger of Fire

❐ Do not use the device if there are fl ammable gases present in the air.
❐ Bread and baked items can catch fi re. You should therefore empty and clean the crumb
tray thoroughly and regularly.
