Searching for RDS program
types
One of the most useful features of RDS is the ability
to search for a particular kind of radio program.
You can search for any of the program types listed
on pages 30, 31. This covers all kinds of music, as
well as news, weather forecasts, sports programs,
and a variety of others. This is known as a PTY
search.
1 Switch to the FM band by pressing the
TUNER/BAND button.
RDS is only broadcast on FM.
2 Select PTY SEARCH from the RDS
menu.
See Displaying RDS information on page 31 for
how to do this.
3 Use the JOG buttons (remote) or JOG
dial (front panel) to select the
program type you want to search for.
4 Press DISPLAY (remote) or SET (front
panel) to start the search.
The search stops when a matching station is found
among the station presets. Five seconds of the
station is played, then the search resumes.
Note: If no station is found, searching continues
until you press .

5 To listen to a station and cancel the
search, press DISPLAY (remote) or
SET (front panel) within the five
seconds.

Recherche d'un type de
programme RDS
Une des caractéristiques les plus habituelles de RDS
est l'habileté pour rechercher un type de
programme radio en particulier. Vous pouvez
rechercher n'importe quel type de programme de la
liste qui se trouve sur les pages 30 et 31. Celle-ci
comprend tous les types de musiques, ainsi que les
actualités, les prévisions météorologiques, les
programmes sportifs, et toute une variété d'autres
programmes. Il s'agit de la recherche PTY.
1 Passez à la bande FM en appuyant sur
la touche TUNER/BAND.
RDS n'est émis que sur la bande FM.
2 Sélectionnez PTY SEARCH sur le
menu RDS.

pour la manière de faire.
3 Utilisez les touches JOG (sur
télécommande) ou le cadran JOG (sur
panneau frontal) pour sélectionner le
type de programme que vous
souhaitez rechercher.
4 Appuyez sur DISPLAY
(télécommande) ou SET (panneau
frontal) pour démarrer la recherche.
La recherche s'arrête quand une station est trouvée
parmi les stations préréglées. Cinq secondes de la
station sont lues, puis la recherche reprend.
Remarque: Si aucune station n'est trouvée, la
recherche continue jusqu'à ce que vous appuyiez
sur
DISPLAY
5 Pour écouter une station et annuler la
recherche, appuyez sur DISPLAY
(télécommande) ou SET (panneau
frontal) dans les cinq secondes.
