Electrical connection / Start-up

m
AVERTISSEMENT!
The rotating impeller can crush fingers.
Ensure protection against contact before starting up!
m
DANGER!
- The electrical connection and initial start-up are to be carried out in accordance with the relevant wiring
diagram and are only to be carried out by a certified electrician.
- All relevant standards, safety regulations (e.g. DIN VDE 0100), as well as the technical connection conditions
of energy suppliers are to be adhered to!
- A multipole mains section switch/isolator, with a minimum contact opening of 3 mm (VDE 0700 T1
7.12.2 / EN 60335-1) is mandatory!
- Network configuration, voltage and frequency must be consistent with the rating plate information.

Connection of the supply line 230 V~ / control line (10 V=)

The areas 230 V~ and 10 V= are galvanically separated on the board. In order to maintain this galvanic separation, the
following must be observed and implemented when connecting and placing the cables within the casing.
1. The NYM supply line (230 V~) is always inserted through the bottom left cable entry point (fig.9).
2. The LiYY control line (10 V=) is always inserted through the top right cable entry point (fig.9).
The relay contacts are connected according to the following selection criteria:
– 230 V consumers are also inserted via the supply line grommet
– Safe voltage consumers are also inserted via the control line grommet
The relay, combined with the supply line or control line must be connected in one cable!
The insertion of 2 cables in the grommet is not admissible!
With regard to the wiring, it must be ensured that the wires are not placed over the board, but rather along the edge
of the casing (fig.10/11).
A cable length of max. 30 m is admissible for the LiYY control line. Shielding is not necessary.
- Pre-pierce grommet with round tool or pierce directly with supply line (fig.8, Pos ô ).
- Remove sheath to 135 mm. Strip wires to 8 mm.
- Carefully push cable through the grommet.
- Place wires in the cable channel and connect according to wiring diagram (SS-1083).
- Check the waterproofing of the connection cable and tight clamping of the strands
- If the grommet does not evenly enclose the sheathed cable once the supply line is installed, the grommet must be
additionally sealed, e.g. with Silicone N. Otherwise, the IP protection will expire.
- The connection cable and the control line must be stored so that no water can get in along the cable in case of
water exposure. m The cables must not be placed over sharp edges!
- Check designated use of fan
- Compare mains voltage to rating plate data
- Check fan for solid mounting and professional electrical installation
- Check freewheeling of the impeller
- Check all parts for tightness, particularly screws, protection guards. Do not loosen screws in the process!
m
DANGER!
Ensure that the required protection against contact is mounted. The unit may only be put into operation with
protection against contact!
- Check fan for vibration and noise during test run
- Compare power consumption to rating plate data
