8. Maintenance and servicing

WARNING: Always stop the tool and disconnect it from mains before any adjustment or main-
tenance operation.
When the piston is not in the rear position, the "Cycle" LED
blinks green as soon as the trigger is pressed and until the pis-
ton is in the rear position. The trigger must be released before
the crimping cycle can be started.
When crimping is successful (travel and effort are achieved),
the "Cycle" LED lights up green for 2 seconds and a long beep
sounds for 2 seconds after return to initial position.
x1
If the crimping cycle is interrupted by the user (releasing the
trigger), or is incorrect (travel or maximum effort not achieved,
sudden drop in pressure when crimping), the "Cycle" LED blinks
x5
red for 5 seconds and 5 intermittent beeps sound for 3 seconds.
When the tool reaches 15 000 to 17 500 cycles, the "Mainte-
nance" LED blinks orange as soon as the tool is plugged in,
displaying the future maintenance to be carried out.
When the tool reaches 17 501 to 18 000 cycles, the "Mainte-
nance" LED blinks orange as soon as the tool is plugged in,
displaying the imminent maintenance to be carried out.
When the tool reaches 18 001 cycles, the machine stops. The
"Maintenance" LED remains red as soon as the tool is plugged
in, displaying obligatory maintenance.
In the event of a mechanical or motor failure, the "Maintenance"
LED blinks red. The machine does not carry out crimping cy-
cles.
When the machine is operated without jaws, an electronic safe-
ty function detects the lack of jaws and shuts the machine down.
In such a case, the "Cycle" LED light up red. The machine does
not restart. The machine must be unplugged and plugged in
again in order to be operational again.
If the electrical supply drops below 200V when the trigger is
pressed, the machine does not start, and the LED "Cycle" and
"Maintenance" blink blue during 10 sec. If the electrical supply
drops below 200V during one crimping cycle, the LED "Cycle"
and "Maintenance" blink blue during 10 sec and the operator
has to check manually if the fitting is correctly crimped.
If the machine is linked by way of USB to a computer, the "Ser-
vice" LED blinks blue during the whole time. The machine does
not carry out crimping cycles.
