▪ APPLY THE TOOL'S MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS. CHECK THERE IS NO MISALIGNMENT,
BLOCKING OF MOVING PARTS OF BROKEN PARTS BEFORE USE. Many accidents are due to poorly
maintained tools. Any protection, switch or other part damaged or faulty must be repaired or changed by a
skilled technician.
▪ USE THE TOOL AND ACCESSORIES AS PER THESE INSTRUCTIONS, WHILE CONSIDERING THE
WORK CONDITIONS AND WORK TO BE PERFORMED. Using the tool for operations different from those
planned may lead to hazardous situations. Always comply with the machine's capacity, while considering the
work conditions and tasks to be performed. Using the machine for users other than those planned is hazard-
ous and cancels all guarantees.
▪ CONSIDER THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT. Do not expose power tools to rain nor store them in a damp
or wet location.
▪ USE ONLY ACCESSORIES RECOMMENDED BY VIRAX FOR YOUR MODEL. Non observance of this
instruction may present a danger for the user and cancels the guarantee.
▪ DISCONNECT THE PLUG FROM THE POWER SUPPLY SOURCE BEFORE ANY ADJUSTMENT,
CHANGE OF ACCESSORIES OR STORING THE TOOL. Such preventive safety measures reduce the
risk of accidental starting of the tool.
3.5. Maintenance and servicing of the tool
▪ MAINTAIN YOUR TOOL CAREFULLY. Keep your tools clean to ensure proper operation. Clean and grease
the rollers regularly.
▪ THE HANDLE MUST BE CLEAN AND WITHOUT OIL. Maintain the tools clean to ensure safe handling.
▪ HAVE YOUR TOOL MAINTAINED BY AN APPROVED REPAIR SHOP USING ORIGINAL SPARE
PARTS. Non observance of this instruction may present a danger for the user and cancels the guarantee.

4. Specific safety instructions

Always wear hearing protections when working with the tool. Noise emitted may cause
hearing troubles.
During work, wear protection glasses to avoid projections.
WARNING: Always keep your fingers and hands away from the jaw during the crimping
cycle. Non compliance with this instruction may cause severe injuries.
WARNING: Before connecting the tool to mains, check its voltage is that indicated in the in-
structions specifying the technical characteristics of the tool.
▪ NEVER ATTEMPT TO ADJUST OF CHANGE THE ACCESSORIES WITHOUT DISCONNECTING THE
TOOL FIRST. Omitting to disconnect the crimper before adjusting or changing the accessories may cause
severe injuries.
▪ CONNECT THE TOOL TO THE RIGHT POWER SOURCE. A power source higher than that indicated may
cause severe damage to the user or tool. The use of a power source lower than that indicated in the instruc-
tions may damage the motor. If you have any hesitations in this matter, do not connect the tool.
▪ IF REQUIRED, USE ANOTHER EXTENSION ADAPTED TO THE TOOL. To prevent any overheating,
fully unwind the extension cable. Check the cross-section of the extension cable complies with the current
intensity consumed by the tool.
▪ DO NOT USE THE TOOL WHEN THE CABLE IS DAMAGED. DO NOT TOUCH THE DAMAGED CABLE.
DISCONNECT THE TOOL. Damaged cables increase the risk of electric shock.
▪ DO NOT INSERT YOUR FINGERS IN THE JAW PROFILE. Inserting your fingers in the jaw profile may
cause severe bodily injures.
▪ NEVER ATTEMPT TO REPAIR A DAMAGED JAW. A modified jaw can break under pressure during the
crimping cycle. Throw and replace the complete jaw.
▪ DURING WORK, HOLD THE TOOL WITH BOTH HANDS AND MAINTAIN YOUR BODY IN A STABLE
POSITION. The tool is better guided when held with both hands. When working in high places, check nobody
is below you.
