IMPORTANT NOTES:
▪ After installing the jaw, check visually that it is centered properly.
▪ The jaw has a very powerful jawing effect. Keep your fingers away from the jaw profile.
6.2. Removing the jaw
▪ If necessary, MOVE TO ROLL STARTING POINT. If the rollers are not completely returned to its starting
position, the clamp can be difficult to remove. Then pull the trigger to allow the rolls to return to their starting
position.
▪ DISCONNECT THE CRIMPER. Omitting to disconnect the crimper before adjusting or changing the acces-
sories may cause severe injuries.
▪ RELEASE THE LOCKING SYSTEM AND FREE THE JAW. Fully press the locking button. Turn the locking
button to align the groove with the retaining screw. A spring under the locking button facilitates pin retraction.
▪ REMOVE THE JAW. After clearing the stop button, remove the jaw from the crimping head.
▪ PRESS AND LOCK THE STOP BUTTON. Press the pin of the locking button and align the groove of the
stop button with the retaining screw.
6.3. Preparing the tube and fitting

6.3.1. Preparing the tube

WARNING: non-observance of all instructions below may cause improper crimping and in-
crease the risks of water, fire or explosion damage.
▪ CUT THE TUBE. Cut the tube perpendicularly along its axis. Check that the cut is clean, especially when
using fittings with elastomeric gaskets.
▪ DEBUR THE TUBE. Debur the tube to eliminate all burs and/or pointing edges.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
▪ The tube ends must be deburred to facilitate insertion of the fitting.
▪ The tube ends must be recalibrated to their nominal diameter over a length exceeding the insertion depth
inside the fitting. The tube must be calibrated with a tool designed specifically to this effect. The tube must
be cut if calibrated improperly.
▪ To work on existing networks, it is important to eliminate any trace of paint over a length exceeding the inser-
tion depth in the fitting.
6.3.2. Preparing the fitting
▪ CHOOSE THE FITTING SUITED TO THE TUBE TO INSTALL. Check that the fitting is suited to the tube's
diameter and that the material and thickness of the tube are compatible with the fitting (call the fitting manu-
facturer for information on calibration).
▪ CHOOSE THE JAW SUITED TO THE FITTING. Use the profile and diameter recommended in the instruc-
tions supplied with the fittings.
6.3.3. Fitting the fitting
▪ PLACE THE FITTING. Slide the fitting onto the tube with a twist movement. Check that the fitting is suited to
the tube selected.
